The WherePort III HD provides distance location by triggering a WhereTag tag to transmit a series of "blinks" with the WherePort III HD's unique ID. Mobile devices can use these WherePort "blinks" to better locate the device as it moves within range of a tagged asset. The WherePort III HD can also enable or disable an alternating "blink" pattern in the WhereTag tag. Typically, this alternating "blink" pattern flashes more frequently over a fixed period of time, providing increased visibility of the tagged asset as it moves later.
