DartTags are small active tags used in applications that track assets and people. These tags emit short ultra-wideband (UWB) pulses that are detected by Zebra Dart sensors. Each tag transmits a unique ID associated with a specific asset. The Dart sensor connects to the Zebra DartHub, which is used to determine the real-time location of the DartTag. The extremely short transmission time of the DartTag provides excellent real-time location accuracy and can locate thousands of tags simultaneously. The short UWB pulses also allow for extremely long battery life. For example, a DartTag (programmed with a 1 Hz flash rate) can be used to continuously track assets for up to 7 years. The tag is powered by a 3V coin cell battery and can be turned on/off and set to a wide range of flash rates using the DartWand.
